I dated a lot, had been divorced for 21 years, and thought I would have a lot of adjustments, as I am very independent, but it has been easy. His wife had passed away, but she had been an invalid for 23 years, so he was used to being in control also. Amazing what falling in love can do, we are both aware of the challenges and are handling them so well.
He had a picture of himself and one of his grandsons on his profile, he has two sons, (I have three), devoted family man, a Christian, an avid sports fan, exercises, in excellent health, and very handsome, plus we both live in Fullerton and ended up knowing many of the same people. I am very involved with fundraisers, and he is also. He has a ton of energy and loves life. We met for lunch which was a three hour lunch; he called afterwards and asked me to go to out with him for the day on Saturday. We ended up seeing each other, almost, everyday until our marriage. We married on Dec. 11th, had a beautiful wedding. Our entire family was in the wedding, have a great picture of the family together, it is so exciting. Everyone gets along! We have 7 grandchildren between us, and we are both so involved.
Feelings are much the same as if we were 16 again. Yeahhhhhhhhhh! It is wonderful and we are so happy. It is wonderful to fall asleep with his strong arms around me, feeling his love, and knowing that we both have many years ahead of us to share this love. I truly never thought it would happen to me!! I was so adamant about never marrying again.
Our wedding was so wonderful, 7 grandchildren participated, from the ages of 12 to 1. My sister and best friend stood up for me, my youngest son, 25, walked me down a stairwell to my two older sons, they all gave me away. Three granddaughters were flower girls, one grandson ring bearer, and three grandsons were responsible for the lighting of the candles. Two daughters in law did readings; two daughters in law played the piano and sang, one daughter in law handled the guest book and the guests. It was an incredible day!!
Anyway, thanks, we tell everyone about your service. I was not going to marry; however, my friends were adamant about responding. There are many who are alone and would like to find a compatible companion. Hopefully, they will find love as we did.

We are not your average couple!!! Him single for 12 years, me for 5, we had traveled the world extensively looking for our 'mate'. Traveling, each of us alone, to China, Europe, North Africa, Australia and more, we came home with empty hearts and souls. David and I had our first date on August 20, 2006 and have been together ever since. He's everything I could have hoped for and more, and I believe that eHarmony really enabled me to meet the man who was most compatible with me on so many levels. David and I were matched on September 15, 2004. It is now several years later, and we are still blissfully happy. At the time of our matching, we lived over 4000 miles apart. We had both been married previously and each have a daughter – mine is 24 and his is 21
